By day, the sophisticated 1970s fashion was clean but had voluminous silhouettes with earthy colours. Trends of the 70s day look were symbolised by bell bottom trousers, bell sleeves, jumpsuits and hot pants. However, by night the earthy colours turn into glitz and glam with shimmering fabrics.
With the re-rise of 70s flares on the catwalks and in magazines today, the 1970s definitely coming back into fashion. Big names in the fashion industry such as Chloe, Tom Ford and Gucci have all tried to re-invent the 70s glam look.
